  • Q: Are deposits refundable?

    A: All deposits are non-refundable

  • Q: Is trip Insurance a requirement?

    A: It is not a requirement for our custom trips, but is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as Drink That Eat This Travels by Kisha is not liable and will not reimburse for missed tours or canceled tours through outside tour operators. We are also not responsible for missed or interrupted flights. The only way DTET Travel by Kisha will reimburse for a trip is if we cancel the trip. However, trip insurance IS REQUIRED on all retreats. We use Chub Travel Insurance and Alianz but you are free to purchase insurance through any provider of your choosing.

  • Q: Where do I find updated Covid information when preparing to travel?

  • Q: What do I do if my passport is lost abroad?

    A: Prior to traveling abroad take a picture of your passport. Keep one with you and leave the other picture with a trusted friend or family member. That way, if your passport is lost, your friend or family member can send it to you using their phone. The next step is to go to the nearest U.S embassy or consulate.

  • Q: This is my first time traveling alone. What else can I do to feel safe?

    A: Create an account and enroll in STEP (Smart Traveler Enrollment Program). This is a free program for U.S. citizens / nationals traveling abroad to enroll their itinerary with the local U.S. embassy or consulate.

    A: Outside of driving in Canada or Mexico where your U.S. Driver’s License is enough, check to see if you need an IDP (International Driving Permit)

    A: Friends and family can send money using credit cards, wire transfers, and bank transfers. If that isn’t an option, the U.S. Department of State may be able to help family and friends transfer money. If that’s not possible you may be able to get a repatriation or an evacuation loan.
